ACT! for America Update
The Mission Viejo Chapter of ACT! for America will meet on Mon., Apr. 14. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and the meeting starts promptly at 7:30 p.m. The meeting location is the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way (Sycamore B Room), Mission Viejo. The Orange County premiere of the new film “Honor Diaries” has been postponed until May 12 to avoid an unintentional conflict with Passover.
For the Apr. 14 program, Louis Lionheart will present “Islam and Western Civilization: Are they Compatible? An Expert on World Religions Explains the Challenges of Co-Existence.” Lionheart is a scholar, truth-seeker and an American Patriot.
From the announcement:
If you've been to the Santa Monica Promenade, chances are you've seen Louis Lionheart as he engages the public in conversations about different religions and belief systems. Louis is a teacher, questioner and entertainer. He causes people to stop and think and to reevaluate their mental models and world views. Louis has an encyclopedic knowledge of five of the world’s most populous religions. His broad understanding of religions in general gives him a unique perspective on the future of Islam and the West. He will share his experience engaging Muslims, and others, on the Promenade and his strategies for protecting and preserving Western culture.
What You Will Learn:
- A short history of Islam and why it is so different from all other religions.
- Sharia, Islamic law, compared with other legal systems.
- The important difference between Islam and Muslims.
- The fundamental difference between Islam's founding documents and the U.S. Constitution.
- Is long-term coexistence between the West and Islam possible?
- How should we respond to Islamic "colonization" and what tools should we use?
Louis Lionheart loves America and understands the dangers political Islam poses to future generations if it is allowed to grow.
Louis is the founder of Truth Defenders ( www.truthdefenders.com ), a personal ministry dedicated to apologetics, comparative religion and evangelism. He has been studying and discussing world religions for 16 years. Louis has read the primary source materials of every major religion, which includes reading the Qur'an more than five times. His work is primarily focused on the engaging people in open dialog about world views, on Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade. While his ministry is concerned with reaching and dialoguing with people of all faiths and philosophies, in recent years Islam has taken a primary role as it becomes more and more of a threat as its followers become more radicalized. Louis will speak for about 50 minutes. After a stretch break, there will be an optional question and answer session for about 25 minutes.
A $5-$10 donation is appreciated to help cover meeting room costs. Sign up for our ACT! for America chapter announcements at www.act4oc.org.
