SRA Meets on Apr. 17
On Thurs., Apr. 17, 7:00 p.m., Saddleback Republican Assembly will host David Whitley as its featured speaker on Common Core, the national curriculum being implemented in schools.
Whitley’s presentation will focus on how history is being misrepresented in middle school lessons with regard to the issue of medieval times and the spread of Islam. He will reveal the link between the Koran and other holy texts and the evil perpetrated over the centuries by political Islam.
Whitley is an author and a conservative political activist. He knows that our freedom to pursue success and happiness will only be preserved if it is protected by vigilant citizens. He will share his personal experiences, insights and struggles in opposing biased lessons in classrooms. He recently made a presentation to his child's PTA after discovering the whitewashing, omissions and half-truths that masquerade as the history of Islam in textbooks. As a father, he is especially concerned with the misrepresentation of Islam as a benign "religion of peace.”
Saddleback Republican Assembly meets on third Thursdays of the month at the Norm Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way, Jacaranda Room-B, Mission Viejo. For additional information call (949) 769-1412
