ACT! for America Meets
The Mission Viejo Chapter of ACT! for America will meet on Mon., Mar. 10. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and the meeting starts promptly at 7:30 p.m. The location is the Norman P. Murray Community Center, Sycamore B Room, 24932 Veterans Way, Mission Viejo.
The topic of the program will be “How Islam’s Glorification in Our Textbooks Threatens Our Liberty: One Activist’s Mission to Preserve Truth, Equality and Fairness in Our Classrooms.” The guest speaker will be David Whitley, who is an author and a conservative political activist. Members are invited to bring friends.
From the announcement sent by Chapter Leader Bruce Mayall:
David Whitley knows that our freedom to pursue success and happiness will only be preserved if it is zealously guarded by virtuous and vigilant citizens. He joined ACT! for America because he is committed to preserving our values, liberties and security.
David will share his personal experiences, insights, and struggles fighting the forces of tyranny, oppression and inequality—that are being glorified in our classrooms. He recently made a presentation to his child's PTA after discovering the whitewashing, omissions, and half-truths that masquerade as the history of Islam in our schools' textbooks. As a father he is especially concerned with the misrepresentation of Islam as a benign "religion of peace" to younger generations.
What you will learn:
- What the textbooks say about Islam's history and why that threatens our liberties and security
- How the PTA responded to David's presentation on the whitewashing of Islam in the textbooks
- What to say to open minds and win hearts of the politicians and administrators
- How to wake up others to the Political Islam's threat to our liberties and rights
David Whitley, a student of history, politics and religion, is a defender of Western Civilization, America, our Founding Fathers, our Constitution, and the principles of liberty on which America was founded. He is the editor and publisher of The Conservative Directory - The Little Black Book of the Cultural Counter Revolution. David is a political activist having worked in three national presidential campaigns canvasing precincts and training groups of volunteers as county co-coordinator in California and Iowa for Patrick J. Buchanan (1992, 1996, 2000).
David has been interviewed on KABC radio in Los Angeles as well as having appeared on CSPAN. He has been published in the Orange County Register and online at www.AmericanThinker.com and he is a regular contributor at www.EagleRising.com . He will speak for about 45 minutes. Then he'll answer questions for about 20 minutes. A $5 donation is appreciated to help cover meeting costs. Sign up for ACT! for America chapter announcements at www.act4oc.org
