  • NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Mission Viejo is hereby called to be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, commencing at 7:30 a.m. in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center, Mission Viejo, California.

  • CS1. Public Employee Performance Evaluation for the Position of City Attorney Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957.
  • CS2. Public Employee Dismissal/Release for the Position of City Attorney Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957.
  • CS3. Public Employee Appointment and Compensation Consideration for the Position of City Attorney (Permanent, Interim and/or Advisory) Pursuant to California Government Code Sections 54957 and 54957.6. The City Council Shall Interview Candidates for the Unrepresented Position of City Attorney Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957 and May Direct Its Negotiators, If Necessary, Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957.6 as Regards an Employment Contract.

  • 1. Approval of Contract for Legal Services/City Attorney Representation. Pursuant to California Government Section 54957.6 the City has Negotiated a Contract for the Permanent Provision of Legal Services/City Attorney Services with a Firm Selected By the City Council Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957, as Announced, in the Report of the Closed Session Action Item on This Agenda or, In the Alternative, Direction To The City Manager and Special Counsel To Commence Negotiations With
  • One or More Legal Service Contractors and to Thereafter Develop a Legal Services Contract for Legal Services/City Attorney Representation for Subsequent Approval and Adoption By the City Council.
  • Recommended Action: As necessary.
  • 2. Crown Valley Parkway Widening (CIP 752)
  • Recommended Action: (1) Award the construction contract to All American Asphalt, Inc., in the amount of $8,784,991; (2) authorize issuance of a purchase order to RBF Consulting in an amount not to exceed $318,555, for construction staking; (3) authorize issuance of a purchase order to Charles Abbott Associates, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $95,000, for contract administration; (4) authorize issuance of a purchase order to RBF Consulting in an amount not to exceed $99,000 for construction support services; (5) authorize issuance of a purchase order to Petra Geotechnical, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $50,000 for geotechnical observation and materials testing; (6) adopt Resolution 05-XX Amending the Fiscal Year 2005-2006 Budget for Costs Related to Capital Improvement Project CIP 752; and (7) authorize staff to re-bid, as a separate contract, the structural items (walls, pilasters, etc.), which were deleted from the proposed construction contract with All American Asphalt.
  • 3. Crown Valley Parkway Widening (CIP 752)—Community Education Contract
  • Recommended Action: Approve the agreement with Faubel Public Affairs for the provision of community education and public outreach services for the Crown Valley Parkway Widening project in an amount not to exceed $100,000.
