City Council Agenda Spl Mtg - 12/28/05

Note the attempt to prevent open government by making exceptions to the audio recordings of closed session. This recording was ordered when a prior City Council was convicted of violating the California Open meetings Law (Brown Act). While this court order has expired, why not continue to record sessions just to ensure no more violations occur?

Remember that these audio recordings can only be heard in response to a Brown Act violation allegation made by a citizen and would be first reviewed by a judge.

Why not preserve the evidence in case Brown Act violations occur? Ask Mr. Ury.
