Letter to the Editor

With an election coming up on Tues., June 8, wouldn't you think the Saddleback Valley News would have an interesting article or two on the upcoming election? Certainly, Measure D should be covered in some manner. It just might be the most important election ever in Mission Viejo!

Well, not in the local rag known as the Saddleback Valley News. Not only did they not cover the election story but they had only a snippet about the Mission Viejo Memorial Day events in the community. Instead, what did we get is "Philippine Fiesta.” Wow, that is so relevant!

I just returned from Clear Lake in Northern California. I stayed at a longtime buddy’s house in the little town of Lakeport. Mind you, the total population of Lake County is 64,866. Guess what? They have a local paper that beats the snot out of the Saddleback Valley News. Why? Because it covers the real local events, not just the Pollyanna feel-good stories.

Might I suggest the only relevant and up-to-date news sources in Mission Viejo are:
